How a death of a loved one could change your perspective about life….

February 3, 2009

My Father in law just died last Monday january 27, 2009. It was shocking. I found out thru built in yahoo messaging system while waiting for my usual 0-4 calls a day at work. I had just recovered from fever the day before his death and so I logged out at 7pm 3 hours before my endshift at peopletalk call center which is the new place where I work.

So I waited for my wife to give me instructions on what to do next. We basically had to transfer papa roger from Funeraria Quiogue to Arlington East and was able to get a better deal on Arlington East package since my wife’s good friend Joan Bunye had a contact who had a foreclosed provident plan. So instead of 55,000, we only had to shell out 27,000 for the wake which lasted for 5 days. The burial cost 25000 pesos. It didnt include the food and drinks that we prepared for all of papa’s guests most of whom we contacted from Papa’s contact list from his sim card since we didnt know a lot of his business contacts and friends.

I didnt know that dying costs a lot of money….(guess that is also an good example of the saying that nothing is free in this world)
